Cape Panwa Hotel Sponsored Raceday reports
The 2019 Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek will go down as one of the most challenging yet.
A steady 8-10 knots on the final day. A great finish to the regatta, with many titles going down to the wire.

“After all the stormy weather, an 8 to 10 knot South Westerly and slightly overcast sky, was all that remained and a great relief to the sailors and organisers alike. Simon James (PRO) and his race team have worked tirelessly all week. The conditions have meant getting racing underway was a challenge. However, today managed to squeeze in three windward/leeward races for the racing classes and two for the cruisers, that constitute a series.
At times the teams have experienced overpowering conditions and some of the new multihull teams are learning to tame their beasts, in the upper wind limits, but today could keep their rides under control and it shows on the results sheets”. You can read Capt Marty’s full report HERE
